Happy to share one of my favorite projects, with every inch reimagined. The space is inspired by nature, merging an elevated tropics aesthetic with textured layers and warm wood tones. Our travel memories and family personality are embedded -- trips to Hawaii, Costa Rica, Brazil and Mexico, reclaimed Aspen wood pieces from an artist in Moab, the custom coffee table built by my husband, and the bold-but-not-too-serious art. It's a feel-good space for nature lovers and our very definition of home.
Designer's Eye: When going bold with art, quiet the surrounding walls in a neutral tone so your art makes greater impact. Avoid creating visual competition with other elements in the room. Here the art trio is the focus, with the wood sideboard grounding the space and bringing warmth to balance the cool blue and bluish green tones.
